San Diego Strike Force

The San Diego Strike Force have re-signed Indoor Football League veteran Rudy Johnson to their 2024 Indoor Football League roster.

Johnson (6-1, 205, San Diego, CA) rejoins San Diego for his third season. In 2023, Rudy served as a change-of-pace quarterback in head coach Taylor Genuser’s offense. Appearing in eight games, he rushed 18 times for 55 yards and five touchdowns while adding another five passing touchdowns. Throughout Rudy’s indoor career, he’s been utilized as an athlete, seeing time on the field as a quarterback, receiver, defensive back, and on special teams.

In 2018, he spent time with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League as a defensive back. Before the CFL, he played for the Dodge City Law of the Champions Indoor League where he finished the 2017 season with 44 passing touchdowns on 2,583 passing yards. He was ranked first in the league with a 66 percent completion rate and second in passer efficiency (164.6).
