San Diego Strike Force

Tareke Lewis (5-11, 185,Utah) is on the IFL Exempt List after signing with the CFL's Ottawa Redblacks. In 2023 in San Diego, he saw action in two games and recorded one tackle.

Tareke completed his collegiate career at the University of Utah where he saw action in 25 games between the 2018 and 2019 seasons. He recorded 29 total tackles, nine pass breakups, and one interception. 

Before becoming a Ute, he attended Riverside Community College where he earned First-Team All-SCFA Divisional Central League honors and was a two-time Southern California Football Association national Central Division player of the week. He recorded 46 tackles, five interceptions, and 13 pass breakups in his two seasons while adding a team-high 16 kick returns for 399 yards and a touchdown as a freshman. He played his prep career at Palatka High School in Florida where he was a captain on the football and basketball teams. He played in the Border Wars All-Star game following his senior season.
